Slideways Go Karting Junior Sprint Series

Series Outline:

The emphasis of all of the Slideways Go Karting race days provide fun and fair social racing, professionally run with even machinery.

Drivers will be split into two groups – Cadets for 7 to 11 year olds on our Junior Sodi Race Karts, and Juniors for 12-15 year olds on our Pro Sodi Race Karts, with Slideways reserving the right to place drivers in the most suitable category.

The Slideways Junior Racing Series is held in conjunction with the Slideways Karting Academy, which aims to develop young drivers, giving them one on one tuition to provide them with the tools to go fast!

• Slideways championship points for referring a friend!
• Winners in split field “B-main” races advances to “A-main”
• Weight boxes to used where applicable to even out the competition

2. Choose the date of the Sprint Round you wish to enter, and next to “What Type of Race” click “Cadet Sprint Series Entry” (for 7 to 11 year olds) or “Jnr Sprint Series Entry” (for 12-15 year olds)
3. Hit book it, then follow the steps to either create a new account for new drivers, or log in with an account for current members using your email address. You may need to reset your password by clicking the ‘forgot password’ link.
4. If you haven’t raced with us previously, you will also need to sign up on the day and purchase your Slideways Membership for $10.00 (includes balaclava).

Early Bird Entry Definition

• For all events, the entry must be received online by the previous Monday, Midnight cut off

Early Bird FREE practice session days

• The Wednesday and Thursday prior to the event. Remember: always phone ahead and book!

(NB: Early Bird FREE practice is not eligible to be used for the Slideways Karting Academy)

Entry Eligibility

For Cadets – drivers much be aged 7 to 11 year old and be at least 120cm tall
For Juniors – drivers must be aged 12 to 15 years old and be at least 145cm tall
In the year of change of age (from 14 to 15 years), the driver can choose to race in the Junior Series, Adult Sprint Series, or both
Slideways reserves the ultimate right to allocate drivers to the most suitable category, based on age, height, safety and insurance considerations

Entry fees do not include the required standard Slideways membership.
Cancellation of race entries within 48 hours of the scheduled race time will result in all prior payments forfeited.

Sodi World Series Registration:

To score SWS points, all drivers must separately pre-register with the Sodi World Series, which is a worldwide ranking system for hire kart centres who utilise Sodi’s European racing karts.
